Quick catch up lunch with an old friend from Sydney who was in Melbourne for work, saw us checking out Hako down Flinders Lane. We both share a love for good Japanese food, and Hako being right opposite my office, I thought it was a good opportunity to check it out 
The Verdict
I really enjoyed my experience at Hako. Great atmosphere, well presented food and taste that did not disappoint. My tempura was cooked perfectly – light, crispy and not too oily. The blue swimmer crab entree was an amazing bite-sized taste explosion. You know your taste buds have been satisfied, when something so small can make you so happy It is a little on the expensive end of the scale, especially for a mid-week work lunch, however completely justified with the quality of food and the atmosphere of the restaurant.
